Long-distance hiking means freedom. It looks like clearing your head by carrying only the bare essentials in your backpack and spending your days and nights out in nature. Prolonged amounts of time on trail can give you the gift of discovering yourself, both physically and mentally, but it can also simply mean enjoying good food in mountain huts, making new friends, or even sleeping under the stars.
